Is it available to:

  1. Disable monitoring a Group instead of selecting each node and disable it?
  2. Disable multiple hosts from a group but not disabling all the group ,
without logging to each host , edit it and change active to false?

Thanks in advance

Regards,

Johny

the answer is mostly 'yes' to both.

      • you can remove a group from your list of configured nodes, which doesn't disable the monitoring of the nodes inside, but keeps those nodes from being visible in the gui. obviously this may not be enough for your particular situation.
      • you can modify node configurations in bulk by using the node_admin tool in a scripted loop.
this is documented on the Node Administration Tools page.

the upcoming 8.6.1G maintenance release will bring an extended node_admin tool that makes changing just a few properties easier (the current one requires a sequence of 'save node X config to json, modify said json, update node Xfrom json'). this release will likely go out later this week.
