I have changed an IP address of a node, but the node still showing the old IPand when I edit the node the new IP appear.
I checked the vi /usr/local/nmis8/conf/Nodes.nmis and the IP is updated there.
and once I updated the IP address I received an email notification that the Node is down.
if you made your ip change using the GUI, and used the 'edit and update node' button to activate the changes, then the updates should have made it into all of nmis' components. in that case you should also see the new ip address in /usr/local/nmis8/var/<nodename>-node.json.
apparently that hasn't properly or fully worked for you; it seems that fpingd is still running with cached/stale old data (as indicated by the 'node down'): i'd suggest that you restart the fpingd by running sudo /usr/local/nmis8/bin/fpingd.pl restart=true
