Hello,

we use the audit_windows script to discover the pc's of our company and it runs very good. But we have no printers in our database. The printers group is activated.

There has been a change in how Open-AudIT works regarding printers.

Individual devices (Windows PCs) will have entries in the print_queue DB table for any printers installed.

Actual network printers will have an entry in the system table when the discovery functionality is used.

As of our next release there is a report that details the print queues (screenshot below).

So there will be entries in print_queues for locally installed print queues (and hence locally attached printers) and a entries in the system table for network discovered printers. There is a report you can run on a group of devices to see the print queues and a group for network printers.

          Hi Sebastian,

I'll take a look tomorrow (it's 10pm here) and get back to you.

          Mark.
