In the process of renaming and adding some groups.  Now there is no way to add a node.  The add node frame is blank after clicking on it.  I went back and installed nmis again on top of it and have the same issue.  I guess I could manually add them through command line

Thanks

      Mark,

Please double check in  /usr/local/nmis8/conf/Nodes.nmis or in the Quick Serch side if you have a symbol as name of the node, this can create problems in NMIS.

      Regards

        Mark,

Did you use the GUI to make all the group and node changes?

You problem might be related to file permissions, from the Linux command line as the root user, run the command /usr/local/nmis8/admin/fixperms.pl

The next likely problem could be a corrupted Nodes.nmis file or Table-Nodes.nmis file, you can verify these by running the commands:

        perl -c /usr/local/nmis8/conf/Nodes.nmis

        perl -c /usr/local/nmis8/conf/Table-Nodes.nmis

If you get anything from that other than "Filename.nmis syntax OK", you should have enough information to troubleshoot any syntax errors in the output.

        Cheers
