I am using Gmail, so how to setup mail server for it and because of that i cant schedule any tasks such as detect and report for when there is someone install a new app on the computer.

      But, The open-audit has different mail setting,I inserted some information but it did not work.The error message is "erver Returned: 535
      Detailed Message: auth failed: 5.7.8 Username and Password not accepted. Learn more at 5.7.8 https://support.google.com/mail/?p=BadCredentials 9sm1157429itm.12 - gsmtp"  And Please see attached screenshot for my configuration. Thank you

        James, I assume your college is using gmail? The mail_domain would be umail.iu.edu, you will also need to check with your gmail admin to ensure your gmail account is configured for forwarding and if SSL or TLS is preferred. This will drive the port per my reply of April 7. Regards, Mark H

      A quick search of Google for "smtp gmail" provided these guidelines...


      Gmail's Default SMTP Settings

          Gmail SMTP server address: smtp.gmail.com
          Gmail SMTP username: Your Gmail address (e.g. example@gmail.com)
          Gmail SMTP password: Your Gmail password
          Gmail SMTP port (TLS): 587
          Gmail SMTP port (SSL): 465
          Gmail SMTP TLS/SSL required: yes
