Hello ,

       5 mins are too much for my situation because I want to monitor critical services to our company I wanna set it up to 20 or 10 seconds, how can I do it?

      Hello,

      There are two options for adjusting your polling frequency. To adjust the global polling frequency you would adjust the schedule in /etc/cron.d/nmis  If you want to adjust the frequency for just a small sampling of OIDs you should look at opCharts, our commercial dashboard solution that plugs into NMIS.

        thanks for your help, when I opened /etc/cron.d/nmis i was like what the hell is this, didn't understand anything ^^. so what I need to edit in this file precisely according to my need?

          Each of the entries in the nmis cron file are fully commented. If you are unfamiliar with crond time formatting this reference may help: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cron
