Hello, everyone!

I want to add a linux server and customize its thresholds etc ... but in the model field,  i didn't found any model for linux. thought i found a model called automatic but i didn't understand how it works exactly : because while testing a linux machine i set the model to automatic, but while changing disk usage threshold in Common-Windows-alert it changed for the later. wherase the machine in question was not a Windows machine.

thank you in advance

      Hello El Madhi,

If you leave the Model setting on Automatic NMIS will determine what type of device it is and select the appropriate model based on the device type, model and operating system. For Linux devices NMIS will select the net-snmp model. If you want to expand beyond performance data you can manually select the net-snmp-ext model, but this will increase the collection time for that device.
