Rancid for NMIS

Hi Team,

After upgrading to NMIS8 i am unable to use rancid on it .

please let me know any special steps need to be done at NMIS8 to get the rancid configuration

      NMIS itself does not support rancid: the rancid property in the node information is a placeholder added by people who use rancid with NMIS, but we have not received any contributions for NMIS8 and rancid integration.

        for RANCID you'll have to write your own integration.

        as an alternative that does have some NMIS integration you might want to check out our commercial application opConfig, which can do the same things as RANCID but also heaps more: see opConfig's product overview page and the opConfig area on this wiki.

          Shall i take like rancid cannot be used with NMIS 8 or the user need to develope the integaration part .

          i would like to know whether Rancid can be used with NMIS 8 or not
