Discovery and credentials

Hello and how are you , Im still new on using OA .My problem i had now is that discovery found device as UNKNOWN and i tried to read the debug but cant get what to do actually, Hope it can be help thanks.

      Thank you for the help mark , my second question is what is actual use of the credential because i realise that if the target device dont have any credential the audit wont work.So how am i suppose to give credential to the target machine(All device in the network)?, Thanks mark.

        Hi Aiman,

        Most of the time when a device is showing as unknown it is because Open-Audit can see there is a device there but does not have the proper credentials to get more information on the device. The debug log will show if the credentials were accepted for the device you are trying to audit.
