Just add each VM and the VM host you want to monitor to NMIS as a device/node.

As for monitoring the host VM to determine if a VM moves, the VM should issue an SNMPtrap that could be captured and handled by NMIS. I'm sure the regular SNMP/WMI polling would also show a reduction in host VMs. This might require a bit of scripting in a NMIS plugin to capture what you want and raise an event in a way that makes sense.

Can NMIS monitor an MS HyperV installation with Gust VM's if so can you point me to the documentation, also can NMIS also monitor the Cluster to alert when a guest VM moves host.
