Hi, Mike!
NMIS is very customisable and you can define Alert levels in the Contacts table (System > System Configuration > Contacts). You can define a specific contact, or edit an existing one and change the Event levels that the contact wants to receive:
(Fatal|Critical|Major|Minor|Warning|Normal)
Then, you may want to use that contact in the escalations policy (System > System Configuration > Escalation Policy).

Hi.
I have created a threshold and escalation. Everything works fine.
When the first threshold is reached, an escalation is risen and an email is send.
But I have one particular question:
When an Event changes from one level (e.g. minor) to another level (e.g. major) - so changing in thresholds but event was already active - no new mail was sent. I want to have for one special event these changes being send by email.
So for example:
First mail, if warning. Second mail if minor. Third mail if major etc.
Is that possible?
