  • Why do I want to get Certified? What are the benefits to the person?

Achieving certification in Opmantek’s products will demonstrate your level of expertise with deploying and using Opmantek’s solutions in real world situations. The certification tells others your level of commitment, as well as ability with employing the product line to achieve measurable goals.

  • Why does my boss want me to get certified?

Many managers use Opmantek’s certification process as a foundational primer to ensure system administrators are both comfortable and proficient in deploying and using Opmantek’s solution set. This provides a ground-level of confidence in your ability to manage a complex system, especially when deploying high-level Operational Process Automation. 

  • Why am I learning general skills about Linux and the other topics?

Opmantek’s solutions are built on a foundation of required proficiency, including experience with the hosting OS (Linux), command line interfaces (CLI), and an understanding of the underlying network systems and technologies. When you start from a firm foundation, your training and certification process will go faster, and more smoothly

  • What benefits does network monitoring have to the business?

Deploying a reliable network monitoring solution will result in a marked reduction in Mean Time to Resolve (MTTR) service impacting outages, help engineers identify the root cause of problems faster, and restore services more expediently.   • What functionality is important to my business to get working?

Opmantek breaks down network monitoring into three primary tracks – Performance, Fault Management, and Configuration. While many businesses make use of all three tracks, which you use will be specific to your businesses needs and focus. 

  • What levels of certification are available?

Each of the three tracks, Performance, Fault Management, and Configuration are available at the Associate and Professional certification level. Successful completion of the Associate level is required before testing at the Professional-level.
