An Application Programming Interface (API) is a toolset that programmers and system developers can use to help them interact with other systems and deliver solid solutions fairly rapidly. An API defines the kinds of calls or requests that can be made, how to make them, the data formats that should be used, the conventions to follow, and the possible results.

Many of Opmantek's solutions include robust APIs that can be used to automate processes like pushing performance data into a Business Intelligence (BI) solution, creating events, and collecting device configurations.

The following APIs are available for use with each product:

opCharts REST API Reference; fault and performance data

opEvents REST API Reference; create or push events

opConfig User Manual

The Open-AudIT API; pull inventory data
