Can we scan the network and perform the inventory without deploying scripts?

hadn't had the chance to run Open Audit yet but would like to know if it can scan and report HW and SW inventory without running a script on a device?

      Luis,

      Open-AudIT will retrieve a limited amount of information without running the script(s). What it does retrieve, is retrieved using exactly the same commands as the scripts run. The scripts are used because they retrieve a LOT more information than the few commands discovery runs.

      Can I ask why you don't want to run the scripts? Discovery will deploy them and run them for you. It will even delete them from the target device after it's finished if you set that option.

        Good morning Mark, we want a non intrusive solution and most other apps wether they are free or not are agentless . Also, as we don't have any programmers we won't invest time in developping our own scripts.
