I've been experimenting with OpenAudit Community lately, and so far the only issue is with Manage -> Licenses -> List licenses.
If a device is set to "retired" or the organization for a device is changed to something else than the default it is still counted for a given software product. The type of licensing we have is mainly floating, so we're only interested in counting licenses on computers which are in use.
Is there something obvious that I'm not seeing?
As far as OA is concerned software that was installed on it is still installed, even after it is retired. The workflow would be for you to remove the software, audit the device (which updates Licenses), then mark the device as Status Retired. Alternately, set Status to Deleted, then Delete the device from the system, which will also remove the software and update License usage.
