I imported the two devices. I see this in the discovery log for the device.
HIT on serial + type.
Output: Serial: Default string, type: computer, ID: 437
Disable the rule for matching the type + serial (match_serial_type) in the configuration and also disable the match_serial config item, as well.
Mark.
Thanks for your support.
I have successfully added xml files
ab-sg-d-0029-20230912135825.xml
ab-sg-d-0038-20230912135018.xml
I run the audit script on Windows operating system.
These are 2 xml files, when I import them, only the information of the last imported file is displayed
I would check the Discovery Log section of the device and see if the two devices were false positively matched. Look for logs like
HIT on Mac Address (ip table).
Output: MAC: 1c:69:7a:7d:11:7d, ID: 376
That will show you which matching rule was triggered. You may want to change that rule in the configuration.
For more info, see Matching Devices
I imported 2 xml files from 2 different computers.
But when I go to the device management section, I only see 1 device.
It is not clear where the problem is in version 4.4.2 running on Centos
